The boat is a Krogen WhaleBack 48. The boat name is "the Right Whale". Right whales are big slow and friendly just like our boat. Main power is a 3208 na CAT. Back up power is a 50 Hp Yanmar with it's own prop and shaft. Prop for Yanmar is a three blade feathering type. It pushes us at 5.5 to 6 kts in calm weather. Dolph and Beverly have lived aboard for about 19 months. They took delivery in Portland, Oregon and did the shake-down cruise to Glacier Bay and back to Southern California. |
