- Available only on the used market, the Cheoy Lee
40 LRC is a traditional trunk cabin trawler. Hull
construction is solid fiberglass with a teak overlay
on her decks and cabin top. A deep full length keel
protects the props and running gear and gives a margin
of safety when gunkholing in shallow waters. Her all
teak interior originally had twin single berths in the
aft stateroom, but later models were fitted with a
double berth. Visibility from the lower helm station
is good. With the salon settee converted, overnight
accommodations are provided for up to six. The Cheoy
Lee 40 has the ability to cruise over a thousand miles
with the larger fuel tanks and has a seakindly ride.
